AI Engineer

From a Damascus workshop, Omar Alkhateeb turns ordinary machines into laboratories for machine learning — and builds the automations that run on them.

The Record

Memory Sequences.

Four memories, recovered in order. Hold steady — synchronization completes as you scroll.

I · The Front-Runner

Small models.Ordinary machines.

Now serving as a full-time AI Developer at GWA, Alkhateeb integrates AI microservices into production products, wiring intelligent behavior through n8n automation workflows.

A graduate of Information Technology Engineering, his standing interest lies in ML engineering and the research and development that surrounds it.

II · A Builder’s Record

A wide press.One byline.

The dossier is broad: backend networking applications, news platforms in PHP and MySQL, system administration on the factory floor of Amana Foods International, and a published Linux handbook — «دليل اللينكس» — circulated locally and online.

Colleagues describe a communicator who ships, coordinates teams, and finishes what he starts.

III · Honors & Notes

First place.Maps on the walls.

In 2025 his team “Balagh” took first place at the Syrian Hackathon.

He founded Blitz, a mind-mapping collective whose work lines the walls of Arab International University as a study reference, published at blitz.deveopix.com.

IV · The Thesis

Intelligence doesn’tneed a data-center.

I build at the seam where machine learning meets the machines most people already own. The thesis is simple: intelligence does not require a data-center to be useful.

It requires care, the right tooling, and the patience to ship.

AI, on the Assembly Line

At GWA, Alkhateeb stitches AI microservices directly into shipping products. The engine room is n8n: orchestration workflows that let intelligent services talk to one another without a human in the loop.

The result is automation that reads, decides, and acts — quietly, repeatedly, and at the speed of the factory it serves.

Blitz: Maps That Teach

Founder and team lead of Blitz, a mind-mapping collective that compresses entire textbooks into single, legible diagrams.

The maps now hang on the walls of Arab International University, a standing reference for students, and are published online at blitz.deveopix.com.

“Balagh” Takes the Hackathon

In 2025, Alkhateeb and the team behind “Balagh” won first place at the Syrian Hackathon under the Startup Syria banner — project management, build, and pitch carried in a single sprint.

A win earned the old-fashioned way: a working product, delivered on the clock.

Author of The Linux Handbook

Author of the Linux handbook «دليل اللينكس», published locally and online — a practical field guide born from real RHEL system administration and shell work.

Beyond the book: backend networking apps, PHP/MySQL news platforms, and even full game soundtracks composed in FL Studio. A wide press, one byline.

A Letter to the Reader

My work has run the full press — from PHP news sites and backend networking services, to system administration on a factory floor, to a published Linux handbook, to the AI automations I write today at GWA.

What ties it together is a habit of finishing: leading the Blitz team, coordinating frontend deliveries, winning a national hackathon with “Balagh.” If you have a problem that needs an engineer who communicates and delivers, this is an open invitation.
